I already know what I'm gonna call her. Got a name all picked out...

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

I have been quite productive today and now I am going home. Tomorrow we've got a postgraduate research conference. I'm refusing on principle to go to the first session, where a biologist is talking about the toxic properties of tea. I think it would push me over the edge. There's not much point to existence without tea.

My academic support worker has agreed to be my lecturing support worker (are you keeping up, here?) - govt agency asked me to ask her. This must be a good sign.

Sorry for board-spamming today. I really am having the oddest day. In a good way. I think.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Stardate 01.13.11, 11:15, Phlegm Galaxy: Mucus storms continue unabated, and something seems to be sapping the ship's power supply. The Lymphnodia Nebulae appear swollen and strangely solid. We've restricted the crew to essential functions only in the hopes of making it out of here, but every advance seems to be countered with a setback. Captain's log, signing off.

Thankfully, main computer systems appear unaffected.

~ma for sj's stepfather.

Seska, after all the stuff out there showing health benefits of tea drinking, I suppose that this would be rather like discussing possible adverse reactions to common, lifesaving medications.

Definitely do not go to this, and if you do please don't tell me about it.

Without tea I would do nothing but shout at people and throw things all day. It's too risky. If not to me, then to my relationship with The Girl, who I'm sure would not put up with me without my regular doses of the stuff. (This is not actually the reason I can't attend that session. I will get the notes. I'm grouchy about it all the same!)

Where's bonny? Here's an idea for her business: [link]

Speaking of which, I really need to take my lunchtime walk today, since I missed it yesterday.

Compassionately intolerant

Sparky, I love the Thank Dog model and wish I could find a training partner here to do it. I suppose I should get working on that. My 'bottom line', pun absolutely intended, could really use it. Bartleby is in fine shape, but I'm heavier than ever.

It's such a great thing for pets and their people to socialize and actually have a job.

Even in illness, CLEVER.

smonster, I can highly recommend the Puffs with Vicks tissues. They are awesome, so comforting and not as slippery as the Puffs with lotion. Vicks isn't a smell I would automatically say I like, but the tissues actually smell a lot more like Olbas oil (which I also HIGHLY recommend...it's at your healthfood store), which is less chemically than Vicks.

Clear and open airways ~ma to you.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I was trying to find a clip from Doctor Who on the importance of tea but I'm on my parents' computer and it's too slow so I gave up.

But tea is important. It like, saves the universe or something.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Seska, you're not spamming.

I am dressed. This is a major accomplishment, spurred by a cable appointment. Speaking of... Dear Cable Dude - looking me up and down repeatedly while stating your disbelief that I'm a carpenter may have been intended as a compliment, but I did not appreciate it.

I also got really ambitious and emptied the dishwasher. Now I'm tired again.
