[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Thrive to spite them

((Teppy)) Hope you feel better.

Thanks for the information. I'll try to contact them, I can't pay it off immediately but maybe I can work out something.

I also need to figure out why 1 store card account is showing up three times with three different amounts as showing all paid off around the same time. I should have done this a long time ago but I'm still breaking my of Ignore it And it Will go away approach to problems.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

Yikes, Steph! I hope it's just some weird passing thing with no lasting consequences.

I, on the other hand, pass out a lot. Like this morning when I decided to have a bagel instead of toast. Stop me if you've heard this one...I was slicing the bagel the knife slipped...

I wound up on the couch and was 2 hours late for work. I called in clumsy.

It probably needs stitches, but I didn't want to take the time and spend the money to go to Urgent Care or the Emergency Room.

It hurts like hell, and I probably need a tetnus booster, but I think I'll live.

The interview went ok. I hope they liked me.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

::carefully bubble-wraps Teppy and quester and sets them in (separate) rooms full of fluffy pillows::

::passes quester a dozen pre-sliced bagels::

Oh quester...a friend who is an emergency room nurse says that the number one home injury he treats is senseless bagel debacles. Poor you!

Oh Steph, poor you too! Much calm and non-gravity related lounging to you. There isn't much I hate worse than that woozy feeling. blergh.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

quester, yikes!!! Keep all your limbs attached!

Maybe a blood sugar drop? (disclaimer: not a doctor) I've had similar happen, but if I have a piece of fruit (generally a banana) before I work out, I don't have those sudden energy crashes.

That's my guess. I didn't have the best breakfast (1/4 cup pistachios, 2 Trader Joe's fruit leather things [hat-tip to Cass for turning me onto those crazy-high fiber things]), and then I had pancakes for lunch (and 2 sausage links).

I definitely need to eat more quantity, more balanced, and more closely (time-wise) to my workout on the days that I work out.

My blood sugar has actually been weird since I got sick, but I've just been chalking it up to the illness. I know I'm fat, but I have fasting blood tests once a year, and my blood sugar has never ever been out of whack, so I honestly don't think it's The Diabeeeeetus.

I think I just need to not eat pancakes for lunch. Damn it.

I just got home from a doggy lama appointment featuring two completely out of control Dachshunds. And, by out of control, I mean batshit crazy, bitey, barky, obnoxious in the extreme. I purposely wore boots and thick jeans. Had I not, I'd have sustained about 10 bites from the bigger of the two.

Do you know what doesn't help a pair of crazy dogs to calm down? Having their people point at each other and snark, "Heh, it's your fault," that's what. Those poor little creatures have no chance if the people don't get their crap together.

At one point, I was so aggro with the woman, I lost my cool and said,"I'm so OVER you and the snickering." Probably not my best move, but OY.

In the end, I had a much better experience of the gentleman and have faith that he will at least try to help the dogs. I'm really, really glad I didn't ask him what he does of a living until I left. It might have given me pause before I got to know him. He just finished writing the biography for one of W's posse. Think: rhymes with 'Gummy.'

It's an interesting neighborhood I live in.

There isn't much I hate worse than that woozy feeling.

It wasn't the dizzy as much as the cold sweats. Dizzy I can chalk up to "stuffy head, inner ear being weird" or something like that.

But the cold sweats? Shit, man, as soon as those started -- in conjunction with the dizziness -- I knew I wasn't going to remain vertical. I hate it when my body disobeys my brain!

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Yeesh, Steph.

Erin, I'd say the original estimate was a slam dunk, but this still sounds very much in the good idea category. In addition to your utility costs, I'd guess this would be a big factor if you decide to sell down the road.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Eesh, Steph. Not a nutritionist, but there's not much protein in what you described, and especially if you work out you need protein. But it sounds like you realize that.

quester, was it a slice or a puncture wound? If the former, you're probably okay to skip the booster. Tetanus tends to happen in deep puncture wounds that don't bleed much.
