'Shells'

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I'm shocked at how well my knees are both doing. I had surgery on both in college. Mine are actually better! Mostly because the derby stance is basically a squat and my ass and quads are getting into shape, which helps my knees stabilize. It's pretty low-impact (with the exception of the falls). We do yoga as a team for off-skate practice which helps keep us limber.

Derby skates are a lot better than the high-boot figure skates for maneuvering.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

Yay?

Our wings are not tired

Gotta love the TSA. I'm at the same airport I was at last week. Same security line, same security folks, same items in my bag. I removed the MacBook Air this time since I got chastised last time and left my iPad in the bag, exactly as had been done on the rescreening last week. This time I get chided for not removing the iPad. It's been a long while since that's been pulled for screening. They even asked, based on the xray, if it was an iPad inside before the removed and rescreened.

Ah, the theatre of security.

TSA would surprise me if they were consistent. Sorry you're getting a bit of hassle, ND.

They actually pulled me after the metal detector and swabbed my hands, that was a first.

Honestly I fly enough that I'm bound to have hassles with the TSA part of the time, it's just part of the process at this point. At least I've avoided the body scanners and aggressive pat down so far.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Ooh.

At least I've avoided the body scanners and aggressive pat down so far.

I got the pat-down over Thanksgiving, and the best part was after the guy put his hands all over me, he swabbed his own hands. In case I was a human bomb.

Always Anti-fascist!

Homemade jam is very good. Which I know is obvious, but I had never eaten any...I won some in the Daily Kos auction...today I had a peanut butter and elderberry jam sandwich. the canner was right...it is almost like grape.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.
