But that's not what he said--he said they're with men. He didn't say they were women.
Well, he said they were with men, which makes people assume they are straight. So I am assuming he is talking specifically about women, unless I am totally misreading his post.
edit:
OK, now I'm going back and looking at Gud's post again, and I don't actually see him saying that people are assuming they're straight, just that they're not bi. So I am fighting a slightly different fight here. Oops! Carry on...
Pansexual?
mmmMaybe. Except for the "not liking anything" times.
Well, I think there are times that most, if not all, people fall under "not liking anything," but I don't think it makes them cease to be straight/bi/gay, unless it becomes a permanent thing.
But I got NO idea of what to even call myself, so don't take my addlepated advice.
he said they were with men, which makes people assume they are straight
No, he said they were with men which makes people assume there's no such thing as bisexual.
My male dataset is one. I think from reading the bits leading up that there was a discussion of the perception that bi means have-experimented-but-am-actually-straight for women, and actually-I'm-gay for men. I'm just saying I can see how that perception can be formed if my dataset is prevalent.
You're right, ita. I was misreading and conflating with another argument that nobody here is actually making. Sorry, Gud!
Caprisexual just makes it sound like you have a very narrow preference among the thirteen colonies.
It's interesting, because while I fully embrace and support people choosing their own label or none at all, it further complicates trying to quantify what segment of the population does not identify as heterosexual. I mean, can you imagine that census question? LGBTQI, for starters.
it's been a banner year for food/beverage spillage already
Clean-up on Route 66?
And perhaps for some "bi" means limiting themself by quality rather than gender. But what do I know?
I saw an interview with David Bowie once who described himself as "trisexual." The interview just kept going on and DB stopped and said, "Aren't you going to ask what 'trisexual' is?" Then he said he'd be willing to try anything.
I agree with Captain Jack Harkness.
Caprisexual
Capri means goat.
Goats can be sexy. I can't fully commit, though.
