I managed to brush 5 solid fistfuls off Devi. And she's still shedding like mad. And bit me as a reward. Nice. (In her defense, I know it overstimulates her, I watch for the signs and just missed them on the last go.) But you still get handfuls off her in a casual swipe. Dust rhinos everywhere. I vacuumed last weekend. You wouldn't know.

Can Owen come over and help me figure out why my laptop won't recognize my camera or my MP3? I will provide snacks and fair pay!
Sarameg. I wonder if a quite hand held vacuum would let you do some literal cat vacuuming instead of brushing. Scalzi claims his cat loves the sensation. (And how much do I love a writer avoiding work on his novel with literal cat vacuuming?)
I'm going to start hiring him out, Amy. I give him a month until he figures out the parental controls on MY computer. His email was asking me to buy Pirates of the Caribbean costumes so I can understand the urgency.
Oh god, Devi hates and fears the vacuum. Noise alarms her. I wish. I've fantasized about it. I can blow dry and vacuum Mister Kitty, but his only issue is dandruff and geriatrics. Loki..well, maybe. But he doesn't have shedding like my girl.
YAY MAC!!!!!
sarameg, DAMN, you do look totally 40's bombshell in that dress (and hair, and shoes -- oh, lord, the SHOES!!!).
re: rewatching Buffy--I've lost my taste for the teen angst, I'm afraid.
You know, I've thought that recently. Like, OH THE DRAMA!!! But then, that's what being a teen is like, whether you fight literal monsters or not. Drama drama drama llama.
Those are lovely wedding photos. You just feel happy and hopeful looking at them. And yeah, woman, you are looking seriously good.

I look forward to the day when Owen and Clovis rule the world, I have to say.
I've been thinking I could start a Buffy rewatch this summer, from the beginning. I miss it.
I'll have to share more. My Miss P and Mr.A were flowergirl and ringbearer, and the pictures they took...lord. Bliss. Pride and joy and confidence. There's a reason the couple took lots of pics with them. And then there is our Lisa, couple's fairy godmother and mom to those kids..she was just lovely.
Just not so sure how much of the albums I can share.
Oh, it`s so lovely and cool again tonight. Gotta love those desert day/night temperature swings. It`s funny because I love my house in winter when it`s all flooded in sunshine and the fire is blazing. But this summer is throwing me into a whole nother round of house likes carrots. Right now all the windows are open. The Say`s Phoebe has built her nest on our outdoor speaker again and she is happily singing her evening song. We`ve been grilling a lot to keep the heat outside and she`s started to tolerate me being out there. A passive solar house requires that I be active, closing the windows in the morning, paying attention to sun and rain. But I love it. I love the rhythms, being aware of nature. And our sunroom is truly the most comfortable room in the house four seasons, thanks to the passive cooling. This stuff works!
