this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I got sweet potatoes from my CSA and now I have to figure out how to cook them. Does anyone have a recipe they like?

Like Maria said, bake like a baked potato.

Or cut up and bake as "fries," and sprinkle seasoned salt on them.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I know librarians that wouldn't do that... but more of us that would. so I put it on face book -- and I keep watching it. Might learn the moves

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Slice in half-inch slices--if the tuber is more than 1.5 inches diameter, slice in half lengthwise first. You need chunks about an inch to an inch and a half by a half-inch thick. Melt a little (actual, unsalted) butter in a nonstick pan, add sweet potato slices, stir and cook till edges are just browned. Sprinkle with ground ginger, black pepper, and dill weed. Add a tiny bit of water and cover, reduce heat to steam for four to six minutes, until slices are fork tender. Serve.
