Natter 66: Get Your Kicks.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, pandas, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
I need to either strip paint or go to the pool. After running a bunch of errands this morning after market and doing a load of laundry, I'm feeling lazy
Of course, I went and stumbled and jammed my fingers, so ouch. Clumsy much? Upshot, Batman bandaid. CVS really had a paltry selection. Just neon and Spongebob. That's why I order in.
I never thought about freezing ginger- brilliant! Makes me wonder what else I can freeze. Hmmmmm. Garlic?
Freeze nutmeg. It's why I always grind my own.
Forgot to buy yeast. Darn. Will have to make jaunt after next con call. Thought I was done. Stacking up much bread ends. There will be bread pudding in my future. Nummy bread pudding. I hope I still have the recipe. I think it is in the Buffista cookbook if my files fail me.
Yeah, ginger is great in the freezer. I just read somewhere about buying and roasting garlic in bulk and freezing a head's worth per ice cube tray thingy. I thought that was brilliant.
I went to try on my new suit, and I'm not so sure. Well, they are remaking the jacket and letting out the pants in the width and the length, so it's not like there was anything to tell. The pants are narrower than I thought they would be, and than I usually wear, but I guess they looked good? We'll see!
Oh! I also went looking at Halloween costumes, and I'm pretty sure I saw the slutty pumpkin of How I Met Your Mother fame! At least, I saw a costume not in the original packaging (so no photo) that said "Pumpkin Spice," and pretty much everything in that store was the slutty version of whatever.
Just got back from lunch with friends at Pies'n'Thighs, which more than fully delivered on its promise of pie and fried chicken goodness. I had chicken-n-waffles with a slice of blueberry sour cream pie for dessert, and a house made lemon soda. Nom nom nom.
To maintain the illusion that we have raised a compliant and good-natured child, Dylan was allowed to play on his iPod Touch the entire 2 hours we were there. Tozzle & BurpFree FTW!

That sounds delicious!
I am babysitting the dojo baby. He is just over 2 years old and has been great. Got him around 9am, we colored and walked to Panera for lunch. Now he is playing with the cat tree - Miss Kitty ignores it for the most part, so whatever.
His mom is pregnant and just found out she will be having a girl. Wheee! Another baby to play with.
Once he goes home, I'm off to the store for some plain yogurt and golden raisins. Going to mix them with cubed cucumber(CSA), dill (CSA), and garlic. NOM!!!
