My options for my allergies these days seem to be 1) take Zyrtec on top of my nasal spray and end up wanting to sleep during the day, or 2) do not take Zyrtec, do not pass go, do not suffer in silence.

Yeah. After a three-day weekend with temps in the 90s, I was actually looking forward to going to work in AC comfort today.
I can only surmise that August (or perhaps July from tomorrow on) will be an oven in LA. Because it was drizzling this morning. What comes after June gloom?
Dana, I take Zyrtec about an hour before I go to bed at night to avoid the daytime sleepies. Might that work for you?

It's a possible side effect. After Saturday and Sunday, when I got lots of sleep, and then napped during the day, I figured I'd cut out the Zyrtec. Yesterday, no urge to nap.

It is a dilemma. As far as I've found, there is no antihistamine that doesn't cause drowsiness, no matter what the box says.
Hubs has the day off because the A/C wasn't working at his office. Of course, he's spending it with Max.
