I'm 17. Looking at linoleum makes me want to have sex.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Thanks for the b-day thanks. Odd year. I'm not sure how to feel about being 44 and still being the "baby" in the family. Granted, I felt the same weirdness at 40 and 35 and...

I'm not sure why, but 44 feels strange. Got good results from my last physical though, so that's something.

Mostly, I miss so many of the friends who have moved away. That makes me feel older for some reason.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

my searching-fu is off. Someone, I think in the last natter, was talking about a product that is not Nature's Miracle for getting out cat urine odors.

lisah, that'd be cool. But we still need a copy for msbelle! Still haven't decided what to do next week. Threw out a query on fb to see who might be around. I dunno.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

msbelle- I have hard good things about Odoban, and I swear by a mixture of white vinegar and hydrogen peroxide (pour them on separately).

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Happy birthday, Frank! I hope it's as thrilling and colorful as Suspiria. Not really. Nobody needs that kind of thrill.

DH is looking to pin down a word that describes something that has value beyond intrinsic.

Extrinsic value! Or the dreaded (in baseball stats circles) "intangibles." Uh....Peripheral value.

Emmett had his 53rd "Best Day Ever" as I took him and all his money from umpiring this year to the Lego Store (half an hour south of SF at the Hillsdale Mall) and he dropped $200+ on four Lego sets.

Then he declared Hillsdale Mall his personal paradise because it also had a Sweet Shop (where he got a fantastic selection of gummy stuff, including Gummy Orcas), and was sorely tempted by Hot Topic (Invader Zim shirts), Lids (baseball hats), and Winners (baseball jerseys).

Then we went to In-N-Out and he was blissfully happy.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

DH is looking to pin down a word that describes something that has value beyond intrinsic.

In an accounting context it could be "intangible"?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Happy Birthday, Frank!

I had the occasion to look thru my Snowpocalypse photos. Holy hell. I forget how much snow that was. Hard to imagine now. Even with all the windows open and cool, cool air circulating.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

I was just thinking today how easy it is to discount the coldness of winter when it's 90 degree outside.

sarameg - Jul 02, 2010 6:01:56 pm PDT #10282 of 30001

Deb, yep. And I like the heat! It's just hard to imagine my deck completely full of snow to the railings for WEEKS when I am sitting here in a tank and short shorts. And yet I lived it and it ended up bringing me great things.
