ita, we have elk in the freezer. If I had known you wanted an elk BBQ, I could have made that happen for you before now.

I'm already so tired and work hasn't even restarted yet. I slept for 6 hours this afternoon and I plan on going to bed soon.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

sara I put photos of the box in question up on facebook, but couldn`t tag you or copy the link on my phone. Why yes, the laptop is just yards away from me, but I am too smitten with the technology of my phone to move off the couch. Where I am sitting next to the tacklebox.

I love elk! Elk is tasty!

eta: Hee. Serial posts are funny when you`re already talking about food. Wheat cereal is unrelated to the nom characteristics of elk. Also elk are large. They casually step over five foot fences.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

No one had talked elk up to me before today, so I'd never had a hankering for it. You wouldn't happen to have cougar in your freezer, would you? I'm curious about that now. The guy in question says he doesn't bother to season it, it's that tasty. Me, I'm not really down with the idea of eating carnivores, but I'd give it a taste.

The elk we have is sort of sage-y undertones as the elk eat the sage brush.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I pretty much only know about elk from "dogs in" context. I do have bear sausage in my freezer though.

No cougar. Elk. Deer (usually have some but not now). No Moose. K's dad, who lives in Idaho, is a regular hunter.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

brenda, the restaurant stuff looks fab! I don't think I can make a weekday (as I hope to have a job by then), and I'll miss Nicole like hell, but I can probably make it down for the weekend, the 27th and 28th. Unfortunately for me, I'm already committed to being in Orlando with the daughter on the 22nd and 23rd for a job interview for her and she's talking extending the visit over the previous weekend. Doesn't leave me a lot of time to play with you guys!

Heh. I know it`s not the freezer in question, but my freezer currently has bison and mallard duck in it. If you`d caught me before the holiday it would also have had Canada goose and elk but those are both gone now. I expect some mule deer and other venison shortly, though.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I'd love some venison steak but folks around here hold their deer dear.
