If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

That's the Loop, basically. Or South Loop.

Going on the restaurant list, the only ones that would be problematic travel wise are the ones that just show directions, e.g. North/Northwest or South/Southwest. Lakeview is probably a $12 cab ride. All others are walking or less than $10 cab.

I'm getting the pig!

Post has been marked. Thanks, brenda! I am there Feb 24th - 26th, so all weeknights, but would love to see you. I'll ping you once the work schedule gets hammered out a bit.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I had a big lunch and am just now hungry for dinner. Well, it's too late! Maybe a cracker.

Punishingly Intricate

I did Disney marathon last year! I was just thinking how I was glad I didn't have to do it in this weekend's cold. Or do it this weekend at all. I do need to start running again though or at least walking.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I just got an early reservation link for Chicago Restaurant Week. 3 course meals, $32 bucks.

We did that in LA in Oct. Lucked into an amazing meal, truly amazing.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

UCLA just rebuilt their main hospital a couple years ago and put in pneumatic tubes. I don't think they're going away any time soon.

Spent a few hours hanging out with SyFy movie actors. Man, those guys can talk shop. Now I know why they date amongst themselves. I shouldn't talk trash, the guy whose birthday it was was very nice and funny. I might have snagged an invitation to an elk BBQ.

Cooking an elk? Not the BPOE, right?

Lower case elk, yes. They will be eaten, not eaten with.

I also learnt that people eat mountain lions. And that mountain lions will hunt people hunting them. Montana is a whole different country, it seems.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

ita, we have elk in the freezer. If I had known you wanted an elk BBQ, I could have made that happen for you before now.

I'm already so tired and work hasn't even restarted yet. I slept for 6 hours this afternoon and I plan on going to bed soon.
