I'm sorry, Sophia. One of my work friends does fosters, and it's been a rough year in her circle for that.

When it comes time for another cat, I'll go through her. (I'm not being heartless or crazy cat lady. The thing is, MK is OLD, and whenever I lose him, Loki's going to lose the one friendly cat in the house and wrestling buddy, such as a 16-17 year old cat can be, and he'll give Devi more shit. So I figure get Loki an energetic buddy, and hopefully they'll both leave Devi alone.)

Been thinking of lisah all day. Bet she's sore as hell. And having fun.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I had a relatively productive day. Went running, took my mother "shopping" (basically out to lunch and then we watched my niece try on clothes), bought a silly pair of pink sunglasses, came home, bought groceries, and have triumphed over the jasmine in the backyard. I had no idea it was slowly taking apart my back fence. ...woops.

Because books.

I'm amazed what a difference it makes that Switch has a playmate, sara. Cortez is only about four (not sure since he was the stray who adopted us), so he's adult enough to school him when he's getting too wound up, but he's young enough to love the play himself, too. And they curl up and sleep together, which melts me. We'd only ever had one cat before, and I think this is a much better idea.

Panicula? It was adorable!

I thought you'd like that.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

From way back:

But even on these occasions, when the rest of the video is uncensored (including the rat poison recipe), they still bleep out Beyonce. This I find utterly baffling. Why censor one of them and not the other?

Honey B's motherf*cker is bleeped in the uncensored version. It's part of the script, as it were.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Flops into thread.

Tournament was wonderful. But the schedule got hosed about half way through the day making a long day even longer. But staying until the end was worth the effort. Our dojo FINALLY won the big tournament trophy. We move into our new dojo on Monday, so it is a perfect way to welcome everyone to the new digs.

I should eat, but that would take moving, which I'm really not up to doing at the moment. Someone send cabana boys, please.

Loki really benefits from MK and vice versa, but the energy levels are...um, opposite. But they do enjoy each other. MK was fine with Devi the bitchkitty, but Loki will not do so well. I keep trying to get my neighbor-friends' cats to visit ( Pooch and Kittyboy kinda go into each others' houses and play) but they won't come another 3 houses down yet. I've offered to take Pooch while S is out of town most of the summer, but I think her "wife" (former housemate and good friend) wants him, and that's where he normally goes during her summer gigs. And besides, he's indoor-outdoor and the latter would stress me out immeasurably. Can't do that.

I've got to say, meeting professional musicians had been interesting, in terms of the itinerant life they lead. I mean, they are obviously successful enough to be able to carry a mortgage. But their time? Is not my time. S is basically gone summers, renting out her house or whatever.

I also love having 2 violists and a cellist in the 'hood. (NSM the voice teacher. Oh, his students. Few are good. My cats' yowls are less painful.) Makes for nice music drifting, since all of them practice several hours a day. Actually, when we were porching this morning, a neighbor (renter) they didn't know came up to ask S if it was her he heard in the afternoons. When confirmed, he introduced himself and said how happy the music drifting made him. Which is just neat.
