Every planet has its own weird customs. About a year before we met, I spent six weeks on a moon where the principal form of recreation was juggling geese. My hand to God. Baby geese. Goslings. They were juggled.

Because books.

What about unpublished fic that writers would like to get remunerated for writing?

The majority of fic is written about copyrighted works, though, and permission to make a profit off someone else's characters isn't usually going to happen. The difference is maybe when you get a gig writing licensed novels, like the Buffy or SPN tie-ins.

RPF/S is never going to get published, unless the names are changed, so unless writers decide to charging other fans to read online content, I'd say renumeration is just not forthcoming.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Is it here that I saw the All American Rejects version of Britney Spear's Womanizer (All TIme Low reminds me of All American Rejects because of the name).

I find it hysterical, except that I am occasionally weirded out because the lead singer looks JUST LIKE my ex boyfriend. (well probably not now, because ex boyfriend is over 40 now, but still...)

Trust my rage

So, is healthcare reform really dead? That makes me want to cry.

Seriously, Stephanie? This is ridiculous!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

unless writers decide to charging other fans to read online content, I'd say renumeration is just not forthcoming.

But that's been done, or at least tried--does it make it not fic anymore? If you write the story about uncopyrighted work does that make it not fic? Or is it intent or actuality of profit?

Well, I heard someone say that Brown's win means HCR is dead. But I thought they passed bills? But maybe they needed another vote to harmonize the differences or something.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Ugh. Did Brown actually win? That's depressing.

I have no opinion on fic beyond I like some of it in certain fandoms by certain writers... and I wouldn't say I'm an avid fic reader.

I have a PD tomorrow and I'm as ever unprepared.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

But I thought they passed bills?

Yes.

But maybe they needed another vote to harmonize the differences or something.

Yes. (Probably.) Although there are various trick they could use to get around the Brown issue....

I ... have no answers for that, because I haven't thought about it. Bueller?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I think the theory is, they'd have to vote on the final bill that comes out of conference, and without 60 votes, the Republicans will filibuster it to death -- or even just the threat of that will make Dems fold. Because the Democratic party is sofa king LAME.
