Oh, I get it. You just don't like who did the rescuing, that's all. Wishin' I was your boyfriend what's-his-height. Oh wait, he's run off.

Ahrg. I think I recycled my water bill by accident. Gotta see if I can pay it online... eta: nevermind, I already paid it. It was the Verizon bill I haven't paid yet.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

A full-disk multiwavelength extreme ultraviolet image of the sun.

Ra!

Alias Smith and Jones???

I adored that show.

Me too! Though I think I liked it more then than I would now.

Strangely for a non-vegetable-liking person, I love beets.

I think the lights at work are a big part of the problem

I started wearing sunglasses and a visor at work. My boss looked askance at me. I pointed out that there was nothing in the dress code that forbade sunglasses and visors, and that the lights were causing me headaches that negatively impacted my productivity. She pinched the bridge of her nose and went away. The next day a facilities guy came and turned off the fluorescent lights above my workstation. IOW, I win.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Oh dear lord in heaven, my mother joined Facebook. Yes, I am the person who set up her LJ account, but that's different!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

When I was in college, we had plastic bottles with a bendy straw coming out the top. I think some people used them for water. I used mine for booze.

You know, I guess because of my grandpa, and watching it with him, I always saw Archie Bunker as a way of teaching a lesson to the "Archie Bunkers" of the world, since he liked the show, but then couldn't really argue with the message.

Totally.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I am totally going to friend her!

Another reason to miss TJ's. Over spring break Kelly brought me some Maple Cookies from TJ's - OMG, NOM!!!

I love those.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I recently found out that the TJ's maple cookies are vegan. Now I really want to try them, but I just started a no-refined-sugar diet and don't want to screw it up. (I know from experience that if I don't have sugar for a while, my blood sugar levels out and I feel good, but if I then have something with a lot of sugar, my blood sugar will spike and then plummet and I'll feel like crap for at least a day or so.)

Someone's car alarm is malfunctioning. It's annoying. And yet...this is the first time I've had that issue in this hood. Used to be all the freaking time in my old one...

sarameg - Apr 22, 2010 5:50:35 pm PDT #24544 of 30001

Hehehe. It turns out, it kept going off because it was parked too close to...my car. I wouldn't have been able to get out, they'd totally parked me it. I went out to make sure there wasn't actual theft, and the owner came out, looked at the clearance (like, an inch?) and moved the van up.

Someone's car alarm is malfunctioning.

Heee....the thunderstorm kicked off a bunch of car alarms here. That is how we know the lightening is a bit TOO close.
