Huh. I got this sense among my friends, but I thought that was a self-selection thing. [link]
I'm not surprised, but I don't think that article is doing a good job at distinguishing between different types of drinking.
Drinking daily, if it's one glass of wine, is a healthy choice. And it seems like they are lumping that in quite easily with people having problems or abusing alcohol.
I didn't see it as lumping in so much as that there are (generally) 2 pools of people educated women and less educated women. More educated women are likely to drink. Then, from the pool of educated women who drink, more are likely to admit to an alcohol problem. Also, but perhaps unrelatedly, from the pool of educated women who drink, more are likely to have 1 drink a day.
Atheist Barbie
I like Atheist Barbie's lunch. Plus the "no pants to be ready for surprise orgies."
Also, I would think that educated would have more disposable income, so can spend money on drinking.

But that would dispel the myth of the blue collar beer binger.
First health care, now jobs: Right wing advocates discriminating against Obama voters.
Today on Twitter, hate radio host Neal Boortz advocated that businesses fire Obama voters to deal with the tough economy:
Why should you have to provide a livelihood to someone actively working to destroy your business?
If Obama is hurting your business ... and you have to lay off someone ... why not lay off an Obama voter? They contributed to your problem.
Steve Benen writes, “Obviously, as a substantive matter, this doesn’t make any sense. As a legal matter, it’s a crime to fire an employee based on how he or she voted.” Discriminating against Obama voters seems to be a new trend for the right wing. In Florida recently, a doctor posted a sign reading, “If you voted for Obama…seek urologic care elsewhere.”
