this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I think T-Rex and Teppy are the same person.

Has anyone ever seen them in the same room together?

GUYS YOU ARE ONLY SAYING THAT BECAUSE OF MY AWESOMETASTCINESS.

Steph, I think I've seen my sister try and do that.

"Shut up and start drinking!"

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Hexidecimal Scrabble tiles

My new scrabble tile set provides game players with a fully international character set through the miracle of character set encoding standards. By using my entirely hexadecimal tile set you can deploy your scrabble words in full unicode, or simple ascii. I think however, I might need a bigger board. The memory space on this bit of antiquity is a bit on the small side.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Two Quick Queries:

1) What upcoming events on the cultural calendar are you looking forward to?

For myself: Harry Potter LEGO computer game comes out (mostly for Emmett's sake); Venture Brothers returns; new HP movie in the fall; Scott Pilgrim movie coming soon.

Hmmm, apparently there is no music I'm actively anticipating. How pathetic. (Either me or the music scene, I'm not sure which.)

However, there was one record I was eagerly anticipating which did come out and is excellent: Nippon Girls: Japanese Pop, Beat and Bossa Nova 1966-1970. It was put together by Sheila Burgel of Cha Cha Charming.

2) Does anybody else suffer from "Suddenly It's 10:30" Syndrome? Because I can get up and get moving and arrive on time but then I tend to piddle away my early morning. When I did have the regular job I would often snap back and go, "Shit! It's 10:30. There's all this stuff I need to do before lunch."

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

What upcoming events on the cultural calendar are you looking forward to?

1. The MoCCA Arts Festival this weekend.

2. Kick-Ass on April 16.

Does anybody else suffer from "Suddenly It's 10:30" Syndrome?

Only every day.

Huh. Can't think of anything besides the second half of season one of Caprica in the fall.

Also, I'm going to this tomorrow: Unusual Musical Instrument Jam!

I will be bringing the digital and analog synths I built from kits.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

No upcoming cultural events that I am aware of. Mostly I don't want to know so I am not tempted and/or disappointed because I won't want to spend money.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

What upcoming events on the cultural calendar are you looking forward to?

Like Tom, I'm excited for Kick-Ass, which I have now failed to see for free TWICE, so I guess I will have to pay for it. I also want to see The Losers and Iron Man 2. And probably various other summer movies. Including Scott Pilgrim. And Inception, although I am worried it could be more slow and boring than awesome.

I just bought shoes online for the first time! I'm a-scared, even though I have tried them out in the store. What if they're not exactly the same? What if they look different? What if my feet have grown? Maybe it wasn't the same size I tried on before? Maybe this is actually a variant style from the one I tried on? Aaaargh. Oh well, after checking a few places, I luckily stumbled onto the shoes I wanted at DSW, and there is a store in Union Square I can return them to if they're not right.

Punishingly Intricate

I'm excited about Treme, I guess, except we don't have HBO.

Is Caprica any good? The last couple of seasons of BSG were so bad I didn't even think of watching it.
