"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

I am forcing myself to eat oatmeal in the mornings, although it's only instant oatmeal, but I figure that instant oatmeal is better than no oatmeal.

I'm dithering over this CSA business. I should just sign up for it, right? Because I can afford it even if I'll be getting enough vegetables for four people. Argh.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I was just about to leave my desk and go to the doctor's office for a blood test when the phone rang. I considered not answering it, but figured what the hell, and picked it up. Sooo glad I did! It was the doctor's office, telling me that she had just double-checked what tests were supposed to be run on my blood, and realized that they didn't have the ability to freeze certain portions of it for further testing that was required, and she was hoping to catch me before I left for my noon appointment. Good thing is that I have to go to the hospital on Monday morning to speak to the nutritionist, and I can drop by the outpatient clinic to have the blood draw done there.

Now I can break the fasting I was doing since last night and get myself some lunch!

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

sumi, thanks for asking my question! I can program the dvr, since I can't seem to be consistent in HGTV viewing any more.

msbelle is cute with the new-house crazy. Fun to watch!

Luck to Jesse!

I clicked on the Sulu link. Wrong Sulu. Well, not wrong, he is Sulu and always will be. But I was hoping for Cho.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I didn't recognize some of those scenester types. What's a Scramz Revivalist?

I'd like one of those new job thingies too.

The Guardian throws down the gauntlet: The best sandwich ever?

What the hell do the British know about sandwiches? Except how to make the very worst ones and sell them at train stations.

Actually some of the responses were decent. Still.

I BARTed Emmett into school this morning. We had to leave at 6:45 to get there before 8am. And I just got back at 9:30.

For somebody who doesn't have a job, I don't have enough idleness either.

I'm also suffering random bouts of phantom limb car pain. I see good parking spots everywhere now.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I think T-Rex and Teppy are the same person.

Has anyone ever seen them in the same room together?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Steph, I think I've seen my sister try and do that.

Giants Jersey Typo: Someone Can't Spell 'San Francisco' (PHOTOS)

A Giant misspelling resulted in outfielder Eugenio Velez wearing a weird jersey Wednesday. A pair of letters were transposed in "Francisco."

So when Velez made his season debut in the seventh inning during a double switch, his uniform read "San Francicso." No one seemed to notice until well after the Giants' 10-4 win over the Astros.
