I tried googling Newark and Nerk to see what I got, and just about every reference to pronouncing it Nerk is for the one in Ohio.

Well, I grew up twenty miles from there and rode in and out of that station for years, Hil, and the way I heard it always had very little, if any, "oo" sound. Not that it really matters.

Just had an all-IT meeting. Did the demographics. Over 50 people, 8 women. 4 black people, two women, two men. What a minority I am.

I can't work out why I'm so hesitant. I guess because I haven't seen one yet. I've worn shorter non-denim skirts, so that's not the proper source of the hesitation. I'm just kinda tired of my jeans.
