I WANT TO WORK SOMEWHERE THAT COOL. Of course, you kind of have pop culture written into your contract. I'm sure if I talked to the guys over the cube wall I could trade quotes all day if I picked the right shows. But they're not on my team.

Truth be told, I'm still not ready to out myself in full to those I work with every day, though I've mentioned offhand some, uh, preoccupation with the Lord of the Rings mmovies. At my last job, someone who never identified themselves left a Buffy book in my cube. At the job before that it was an anonymous gift of a Gollum statue. I need some hivemind help. I am working on a grant application and want to say that we provide help for employees from other countries in obtaining visas and acclimating themselves.. It has to be in governmentese. This is what I have now, which sucks and is redundant: We have worked with employees from diverse nationalities in providing support and assistance with work visas and other assistance.

Of course, you kind of have pop culture written into your contract.
