Willow: Yes. Hi. You must be Angel's handsome, yet androgynous, son. Connor: It's Connor. Willow: And the sneer's genetic. Who knew?

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

I re-re-re-ran the Zipcar numbers, and they basically suck - we could make the plan itself affordable, but only by supplementing with public transit, and the BART fares would run the total monthly cost up to nearly $100 a month more than what we paid for a beater car.

Fuck. My brain is just frozen. I can't even prod myself into starting to solve this.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

JZ, you're welcome to email me and I can come up with crackbrained ideas and research stuff for you.

information libertarian

Will Plei's ideas involve a massive heist of glittery nail polish?

JZ, it's not time yet for solving. You're still in shock. Solving will come. (With or without nail polish pirate help.)

Plei, insending momentarily.

Punishingly Intricate

Wish I had something more to offer than my sympathy and hope for a workable solution, Hec and JZ.

Nope. I'm annoyingly adept at brainstorming budget issues. Comes from being raised on a shoestring and having gone back to that shoestring too often as an adult.

My complicated money issues have some silver linings.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Depressing headline o' the day:

Ritual Sacrifice Of Children ON THE RISE In Uganda

eta:

However, the rise in human sacrifices in Uganda appears to come from a desire for wealth and a belief that drugs made from human organs can bring riches, according to task force head Moses Binoga. They may be fueled by a spate of violent Nigerian films that are growing in popularity, and showcase a common story line: A family reaping riches after sacrificing a human.

JZ, I wish I could help somehow. If you or Plei come up with any research-y grunt work or something else that I can do long-distance, give me a shout.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

tommy, that is definitely the most depressing headline I'm going to read today. I refuse to think any more about it, if I can, or click on the link.

In completely other news, I hadn't realised that Seth Green has been nominated for three Emmys (Robot Chicken). And apparently now George Lucas is going to let him do a Star Wars sitcom. Oz? Wee Oz?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

ita, I finally read that Bottle Girl article, and I think I have to take a shower. New York is so gross.
