I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

ION, the movers are about halfway through moving out the stuff that is going to storage. The basement storage unit is now empty and all they have up here to move is 90% boxes, so that should go fast. I had like three loads of stuff in the basement that I had to pull up here to still go through or get rid of. TOO MUCH STUFF!

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Hey Hec - I talked to my boss about your car.

Are you sure the smoke was coming out of the tailpipe? If so, the possibilities are pretty much all bad. If the smoke was coming from under the car, it could be a coolant or transmission fluid leak.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

(actually, it looks like Boston and NY do too; you just have EZ Passes in the cars that run you through without paying the tolls in cash, but at some point they do get charged to your account).

It took YEARS of emailing before they put those EZ Passes in - I don't understand why all rental cars don't have them. (I'd also love for Zipcars to have GPS, but I'm guessing the theft rate would be too much for them to handle.)

Coding and Sleeping

I'd also love for Zipcars to have GPS

You could just buy your own. Some cost less than a 100 bucks and you just suction them on and you're good to go.

information libertarian

Hey, I am trying to talk myself into going to an old friend's wedding in Santa Cruz on May 15. (My hesitancies are $$ and having to rely on friends & complex logistics for local transport, plus being a HUGE GIANT DORK.) Does anyone want to tell me how lovely it would be to visit NorCal in May?

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Bad like unfixable, bad like very expensive fix, how very is that very? My knotted gut and I eagerly await your response.

Yeah, the possibilities are the head gasket or worse (cracked head block, cracked engine block).

Gorgeous Espresso Machines

This is my fave (not sure why):

This one above is the Heart Bean Coffee Grinder, by Adi Navwany, Michal Shamsian, Itamar Paloge and Danielle Ram. It’s made from a single piece of wood and has a built-in sensor to monitor your heart beat to let it grind the coffee beans to the rhythm of your heart.

I'm a car parts moron, and my Googling is giving me no help at all. What would it cost to replace the engine block or the engine?
