See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Are you sure the smoke was coming out of the tailpipe? If so, the possibilities are pretty much all bad.

Bad like unfixable, bad like very expensive fix, how very is that very? My knotted gut and I eagerly await your response.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Yeah, the possibilities are the head gasket or worse (cracked head block, cracked engine block).

Gorgeous Espresso Machines

This is my fave (not sure why):

This one above is the Heart Bean Coffee Grinder, by Adi Navwany, Michal Shamsian, Itamar Paloge and Danielle Ram. It’s made from a single piece of wood and has a built-in sensor to monitor your heart beat to let it grind the coffee beans to the rhythm of your heart.

I'm a car parts moron, and my Googling is giving me no help at all. What would it cost to replace the engine block or the engine?

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

What would it cost to replace the engine block or the engine?

At that point you would almost certainly be better off getting a new (for you) car.

Your best bet would (I think) to find a used engine and have it installed. Dunno how much that would cost or how to google it - your best bet might be to call a few shops you find in the yellow pages. (eta: they might have resources for tracking down a used engine for you too)

Yeah, probably.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

You could just buy your own. Some cost less than a 100 bucks and you just suction them on and you're good to go.

I'd only use it once or twice a year - the main advantage would be the ability to have GPS in Canada without paying roaming charges on my phone.

[eta: Damn, these have gotten cheap! Is this a good deal? I've only ever used Garmin models so no idea how good the Tom Tom maps are [link] ]

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Ahem. I was also married before 25.
