So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

They have a decent system, just not enough bodies manning it. The bitch of it is, we would have pre-registered, but we didn't know until after the window for pre-reg had closed that Lewis would be able to go with us, so it was a bit of a risk.

Yeah, my friend (who, having helped put on cons before, had Things to Say about the registration set up beyond a lack of bodies) was in a similar boat. They learned about BPAL after the pre-reg window had closed.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Hi all!

We had a very busy day, but yay for free wireless from the hotel! It's nice to drop by and see cute Abby in cat ears and Noah being his usual adorable self.

Happy Easter everybody! I'm not sure I'll get a chance to post tomorrow, what with the egg hunt tomorrow, then maybe the zoo too.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

That is a crazy long wait. I'm glad it was worth it!

Burrell, have a good egg hunt tomorrow. I have lovely memories of egg hunts a friend's mom used to put on. There were special prizes in the silver and gold l'eggs eggs. She was Martha before Martha had been heard of.

Fell asleep no problem, but overheated and now I'm awake and feeling randomly anxious. Hrmph.

Oatmeal:

Forgot to say - thanks for all the ideas on protein and oatmeal earlier. I've bookmarked the section for future reference and experimentation.

Yep, still awake. ::sigh::

Our wings are not tired.

What is it about oatmeal that is so magical re: cholesterol? And now I want some!!

Barb, I am so damned happy that you guys moved. It's just really working out so well and you all fit in so perfectly now; what a wonderful gift you've given to yourself and to the kids. YAY.

Smonster, I miss you. And I am sorry that your bod is giving you so much trouble right now.

Is it too late to say a HAPPPPPPPY Scola day!!?

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

There was a place on the form to check off if you needed the hospital to provide an interpreter. There were options for about ten languages. One of them was Esperanto.

In our tour of my local library Saturday, we found out that they have the Language Line, where the library can call someone to provide an interpreter for 30 different languages if a patron can't communicate with the reference librarian. However, since they have so many different languages represented on their own staff, they very rarely have to use it. I wasn't surprised to see that they have a decent selection of books in Spanish, Polish, and Russian, but I was surprised to see Korean also represented.
