We have to see the chimp playing hockey! That's hilarious! The ice is so slippery, and, and monkeys are all irrational. We have to see this!

“Not dead yet!”

Yay for second looks, msbelle!

And thanks, guys! I don't think she stopped smiling the whole time. She just totally dug the entire environment; nothing fazed her or even really made her look twice beyond exclaiming over all the costumes she loved. She's already plotting for next year.

Nate really enjoyed himself as well-- both kids had struck up conversations with kids right in front of us in line-- I don't think Nate knew he was being flirted with. He would have died of mortification if he'd realized.

The woman standing behind us in line continued being dumber than a box of rocks in a seriously "Bless her heart" sort of way.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Aw, she looks great! Those ears are pretty perfect. Your favorite picture is a total charmer, Barb

Glad everyone had a good time at the con, even with the lines.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Abby's adorable, kitty ears or not. Glad she had a good day.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I just made an appointment with a doctor through the online system. There was a place on the form to check off if you needed the hospital to provide an interpreter. There were options for about ten languages. One of them was Esperanto.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Love the Abby pictures!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I just found out that the train-wreckiest of my train-wrecky relatives (and that takes a fair amount of wrecking) is engaged (for at least the third time, and pregnant (for at least the second). At this point I don't even know if it's worth asking if the father and the groom will be the same guy. With her track record, it doesn't matter.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I make oatmeal with milk, throw in a little cinnamon, and then eat it with bacon. My cholesterol doesn't know what to do.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Still in line. It's like an episode of Futurama. But overall, everyone's in good spirits and the people watching is excellent.

I hear it took SIX HOURS to make it through the line yesterday. My friend was still sore today. She was there only for the BPAL stuff and barely made it to the merch room on time.

“Not dead yet!”

I hear it took SIX HOURS to make it through the line yesterday.

Our wait wound up at about three-and-a-half hours. They have a decent system, just not enough bodies manning it. The bitch of it is, we would have pre-registered, but we didn't know until after the window for pre-reg had closed that Lewis would be able to go with us, so it was a bit of a risk.

It was still completely worth it, just to see Abby so happy.
