There was a place on the form to check off if you needed the hospital to provide an interpreter. There were options for about ten languages. One of them was Esperanto.
In our tour of my local library Saturday, we found out that they have the Language Line, where the library can call someone to provide an interpreter for 30 different languages if a patron can't communicate with the reference librarian. However, since they have so many different languages represented on their own staff, they very rarely have to use it. I wasn't surprised to see that they have a decent selection of books in Spanish, Polish, and Russian, but I was surprised to see Korean also represented.
Happy easter!
Happy late scola day! Scola wanna come out for a late birthday meal of indian? Our treat!
We are at airport awaiting flight. Should be in NY by 1.
Scola wanna come out for a late birthday meal of indian?
What time? I'm doing family stuff this morning/early afternoon.
Well we aren't home until 1ish, so maybe early evening?
I'm going with the family to the Bronx Zoo this morning. I can't see it lasting much later than 2:00pm.
You could come by after anytime. All I will be doing is prepping boxes to go to storage tomorrow.
Annnd after boarding half the plane, they are now unloading and we are changing planes.
Oh, ugh, msbelle, that sucks. I hope you're on the new plane and on your way by now.
ION, why, Insomnia Fairy, in Morpheus' name, WHY?
Sincerely,
Awake since 2:30. Yet again.
Feh. Too late to do anything now but make some coffee and pray I can wake Matilda up and get her out the door by 8 (we have to take public transit to church--20 minutes b car but 90 minutes by pub trans). She was bribed before sleep with the promise of Betty Boop cartoons while she dresses and a Easter basket on the train. We'll see if that helps.
Not on plane yet, we had to change not only gates, but terminals. ADVENTURE! That's how I am selling it at least.
JZ, I hope it goes smoothly.
