I just made an appointment with a doctor through the online system. There was a place on the form to check off if you needed the hospital to provide an interpreter. There were options for about ten languages. One of them was Esperanto.

I just found out that the train-wreckiest of my train-wrecky relatives (and that takes a fair amount of wrecking) is engaged (for at least the third time, and pregnant (for at least the second). Our wait wound up at about three-and-a-half hours. They have a decent system, just not enough bodies manning it. The bitch of it is, we would have pre-registered, but we didn't know until after the window for pre-reg had closed that Lewis would be able to go with us, so it was a bit of a risk.

It was still completely worth it, just to see Abby so happy.

Yeah, my friend (who, having helped put on cons before, had Things to Say about the registration set up beyond a lack of bodies) was in a similar boat. They learned about BPAL after the pre-reg window had closed.

We had a very busy day, but yay for free wireless from the hotel! It's nice to drop by and see cute Abby in cat ears and Noah being his usual adorable self.

Burrell, have a good egg hunt tomorrow. I have lovely memories of egg hunts a friend's mom used to put on. There were special prizes in the silver and gold l'eggs eggs. She was Martha before Martha had been heard of.
