Spike: Lots of fuss over one girl. Other things to do around here--important things. Angel: You know that whoosh thing you do when you're suddenly not there anymore? I love that.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Today was our last day of vacation in Texas. Yesterday and this morning we were down at great-grandma's and cousin's. mac spent a lot of time playing with his same-aged cousin and I visited with the adults. While we were gone my dad oversaw the tree pruning, removal, and storage shed removal. Apparently the workers were pretty incompetent and he had to help with a lot of it. Lesson learned to maybe not go with the lowest bid. He worked all day today in our yard also and I joined him around noon. SO MANY ROCKS and bricks and paving stones, oh my lands! There will be pictures, but there are at least a dozen 18x18 inch concrete pavers, then at least 30 12x12 ones, then probably over 100 bricks, and close to 50 heavy rocks that were used to edge flower beds.

I have chosen a fridge and have decided not to buy any furniture for a while except what I can get from my grandmother who is selling her place soon.

The lasy who has looked at my place twice in NY I think came again today with an inspector. fingers crossed.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Abby=ADORABLE. I love her outfit.

I am inexplicably tired. Truly, I am a super sleeper. I just started some thyroid meds (though my levels are normal, pdoc wants to try kicking them up a bit) so it will be interesting to see if that helps. So, heading bedwards soon. Maybe I'll get up at a semi-normal time tomorrow.

I was so puzzled at smonster's post, because she and I got up at the same time...except her 1pm is not my 1pm. So I am not going to bed yet. :)

Am annoyed that the painkiller and muscle relaxant I took last night did not help much, and am still feeling icky. Also, my dental plan continues to reject the night guard. Grrr, argh.

“Not dead yet!”

Yay for second looks, msbelle!

And thanks, guys! I don't think she stopped smiling the whole time. She just totally dug the entire environment; nothing fazed her or even really made her look twice beyond exclaiming over all the costumes she loved. She's already plotting for next year.

Nate really enjoyed himself as well-- both kids had struck up conversations with kids right in front of us in line-- I don't think Nate knew he was being flirted with. He would have died of mortification if he'd realized.

The woman standing behind us in line continued being dumber than a box of rocks in a seriously "Bless her heart" sort of way.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Aw, she looks great! Those ears are pretty perfect. Your favorite picture is a total charmer, Barb

Glad everyone had a good time at the con, even with the lines.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Abby's adorable, kitty ears or not. Glad she had a good day.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I just made an appointment with a doctor through the online system. There was a place on the form to check off if you needed the hospital to provide an interpreter. There were options for about ten languages. One of them was Esperanto.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Love the Abby pictures!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I just found out that the train-wreckiest of my train-wrecky relatives (and that takes a fair amount of wrecking) is engaged (for at least the third time, and pregnant (for at least the second). At this point I don't even know if it's worth asking if the father and the groom will be the same guy. With her track record, it doesn't matter.
