Jesse, I'm not sure what the Catholic school L&O thing is as I never watch L&O. Also, love the J. Petermen dress and the idea of the tea party.
I have to give a speech about the NICU to a group of Junior League women. Can't figure out how to do pictures as it is at someone's house.
In other news, we went to the Japanese American National Museum to see Kip Fulbeck's exhibit on Mixed Race kids. Noah went to a photo shoot for the book, but we hadn't heard anything. He wasn't in the exhibit, but
he is in the book. The shoot was over a year ago and Noah still wears that shirt and those pants! Funny to me.
K asked me if I thought being mixed race would be a big thing for Noah and I pointed out there are so many other larger identity shapers that it's likely being mixed race will be lower on the list (twin brother, twin brother of special needs sister, lesbian moms, etc.)
This was the L&O Catholic school episode: [link] The episode made a much bigger deal of the school being a Catholic school than the summary does -- the mothers had sued the school earlier when they kicked out the daughter when the school found out she had two mothers, and the courts sided with the parents and said the school had to allow her to attend. There was a scene where the principal (or somebody) was saying that it put the school in an awkward position wrt trying to teach Catholic teachings, that they couldn't just say, "Homosexuality is wrong -- but that's OK, Emma, your moms are good people."

I once knew a deaf, Korean, adopted, left-handed, Jew. His parents and I thought he might be the smallest minority in the world.
smonster, I have the same issue. In fact, yogurt doesn't have enough protein for me if there is also fruit. I often put in peanut butter, nuts, or have eggs as well.
We're reenacting the Passover story. Trudging along in search of the Promised Land.
I'm watching Roll Bounce. My willingness to watch any skating movie, no matter how silly, seems to extend to roller skating movies.
I'm kind of impressed at how their routine still worked when they changed the music at the last minute. Especially the parts of the routine where they sing along with the song.
I really meant to do stuff today, but first I accidentally napped and now Dita is using me as her pillow and purring, so I don't want to move.
Roll Bounce is legitimately awesome. Great music! Chi McBride! Nifty disco skating!
