I'm kind of impressed at how their routine still worked when they changed the music at the last minute. Especially the parts of the routine where they sing along with the song.
I really meant to do stuff today, but first I accidentally napped and now Dita is using me as her pillow and purring, so I don't want to move.
Roll Bounce is legitimately awesome. Great music! Chi McBride! Nifty disco skating!

Figure skaters should do that!
Happy birthday, Scola!
redressing a less-elegant Jilli this week.
As Plei said, that was our friend Leia. I just read the re-cap of the show, and saw them mention at least one item that I KNOW she bought from me at a clothing sale. Also, when they talk about tossing her "Victorian witch boots" in the trash, I wince, because I'm pretty sure those were her Fluevogs, and all I can think is "Noooooo! Send them to me!"
Hee. I watched Roll Bounce as an extension of my willingness to watch any dance movie. :)
Now I want oatmeal even though I just ate a big breakfast burrito and potatoes!
Edit: also, I'm watching WNTW OnDemand, and it's not Jilli's friend Leia, but it's some other girl who wears clip in pink dreads. So, similar! :)
I usually cook oatmeal in milk, and I frequently add a couple of tablespoons of peanut butter. The combo usually keeps me full until lunch, and it's delicious, too.
Jilli, I work with someone who is a fan of yours. She's also the proprietor of this place [link] . She was making some of these yesterday.
You people who eat oatmeal, do you do something to add protein? All-carb breakfasts leave me hungry again an hour later.
This is why I make my own muesli. Plus, then you don't have to cook it.
A more complicated recipe from Jamie Oliver:
Composed Muesli (to store):
8 large handfuls oats
1 handful raw pumpkin or sunflower seeds
1 handful chopped walnuts
1 handful slivered or chopped almonds (or cashews)
1 handful chopped dried dates
1 handful chopped dried apricots (or other)
Preparation (the night before):
Add the amount of cereal you want for the next couple of days to a bowl or Tupperware container, cover fully with milk, and stir. If you like, grate in half an unpeeled Granny Smith (or other) apple, and stir immediately to stop the apple from discoloring. Cover and place in the refrigerator. By the next morning, the oatmeal should have a silky texture and be slightly sweet from the dates. Serve plain, or with a mashed up banana, honey, and/or yogurt.
An easier recipe from Mark Bittman:
Muesli:
5 cups oats
3 cups nuts and/or seeds
1 cup unsweetened coconut
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 cups dried fruit
salt
Both these recipes can take a lot of tinkering, put in whatever takes your fancy. Dates add sweetness, so if I use these I usually don't add sugar. Whole foods sells chopped dates rolled in flour, which is convenient.
