I had crispy crowns for lunch today, AtheyWereFG!

I et too many cookies. I mean, I don't generally eat cookies, but there were so many interesting ones: bacon chocolate somthing bars (judges called them the Lady Gaga,) lemon, lime and orange cookies. Lovely little coconut meringues. Oatmeal craisin wasabe ginger cookies. Faux oreos that were chipotle chocolate with orange flavored cream. Pumpkin chocolate chip. Brown sugar cookies. Nummy little thumprints. Blondies of some sort (actually, I got full before I got to those...) I'm sure I am forgetting some. I have a bucket full. Which my neighbors will benefit from. Ooof.

Hey Jesse, one of the judges was Mary (?) from Ace of Cakes.

Friends of mine had their first date at Chuck E. Cheese. They're married with 2 kids, so I guess they have compatible quirks.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

The counter space is one of my favorite things about my current apartment. It's bananas!

G-ross. I really don't like biting into a foodstuff and having something soft jet out. I don't like bon bons, I'm saying.

But isn't that the best part of croquettes??

msbelle, you're moving! Eff 'em.

I was going to say -- are you ever going to see them again? But BOOOO on no beer at the Chuck.

Mary Alice! She's cool.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

I think "crunchy outside soft inside" is one of my favorite food categories, along with "meat inside bread".

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Oh sorry, your link was probably fine, I have very limited access on my bberry.

We have left the party. And I have just introduced mac to pop rocks. It's been a while since we had a new first, this was a fun one.

Two of the classics!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

hey, -t, if you're around, do you care if I post a link to pictures of your town?

Post away! Suisun needs more publicity.

Those are my favorites. Meat inside dough in soup is up there, also, if that is distinct from meat inside bread.

My kitchen does have a lot of counter space, which makes the oak much ore bearable than if it didn't. And I cleared a lot of stuff off the counters a couple of weeks ago so the food prep space is luxuriously large. Mosaic tile, but I have a lot of flexible cutting boards to make flat surfaces.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Okay!

Pictures of Suisun, where -t lives. Like -t, it is hella cute [link]

Sadly, I have no pictures of -t or javachik

Which means we have to go to dim sum, so I can take some.

Dim sum should definitely be got, yes.

That's a working lighthouse, btw. Useful when you go out on a sunset kayak and are not sure which way is back to the boat launch in the gloaming.

Beth, that hanging bat sculpture is great! The treehouse is pretty cool, too.
