That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

The magical sheets that dry clean in the dryer are my friends.

It's almost cheaper for me to dry clean between the cost of the sheets and the cost of the dryer.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Oh, Burrell, have I told you that you might like Nubar's Purple Beach?

You are NOT helping me maintain my miff, Cass.

(burrell, I'm pretty sure I mailed one to you... did you get it?)

Yes! I was just going to email you an RSVP. Coming! I've been in TCB mode this morning and trying to multitask a bit too much.

I'd be interested in the polish box, too, given my cuurent obsession. I don't have much to add though.

My mom never ironed. We had a big bin in the closet filled with stuff to be ironed, and right around holiday time mom would ask me to iron a tablecloth and some napkins. Dad didn't iron either, he just hung his shirts to dry. We are lazy and unkempt in my house. Cody irons, god bless him.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I have an inordinately expensive load of dry cleaning waiting for me to pick up. I finally sent out everything that had been waiting, including formal wear. Ouch.

I don't think I could properly populate a work wardrobe without clothes that needed ironing or dry cleaning. I do have a lot of knits, but not enough.

I totally bought too much lunch. Burger and fries? What was I thinking?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I need to bring a ton of stuff to the dry cleaner's, and figure I should do it before I need the clothes... It's been four months.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

My sister irons her jeans, but, as far as I know, her only demonic power is to drive her family insane.

Honestly, that's part of what I like about fast food -- crappy little burger, not a ton of fries.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I used to iron, but now I have a dryer and wet washcloth. Anything else goes to the cleaners.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Ugh. Home sick today, and it's been raining for two days solid, so I haven't left the apartment since Saturday. Slept like crap last night because of the ick, and I suspect I will tonight because I've been mostly lying down all day. At least the rain is SUPPOSED to end by tomorrow, but it shows no signs of doing so. I guess I'd rather be sick today than on a nice day, but I suspect the weather is part of why my body decided this weekend was a good time to be sick.

I had stuff in that bag that had been there years. I thought it was mending I was ignoring.

It's possible I have a little too much clothing.

This is pretty much that. I'm just off my feed. Can't finish either the burger or the fries.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

We own an iron and ironing board, but....no. Most things that I hang dry end up wrinkle-free *enough,* and the ones that need a little help get tossed in the dryer on no heat with a damp washcloth.

For things that even the dryer-and-washcloth trick won't help, I just take 'em to the cleaner. It's mostly shirts, which they launder and press for about $1.30 a shirt. Good enough for me.

t edit Ha! We had a Steph ironing x-post, where Vortex said what I said, only in way fewer words.
