Oh, that Nightingale dress is lovely.

“Not dead yet!”

This one they actually call the Zelda dress: [link]

That one's really lovely and I love that color. Unfortunately, it make me look like ass on toast.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Love that dress, even if it made me feel sort of naked.

That site is good at making me moun not being five nine.

And I keep telling Cass she should buy this: [link]

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Personal style is so interesting. Those dresses are so lovely, and yet there's not a one (maybe the halter neck) I can see myself ever being comfortable wearing. It's one thing if you don't like something, but the gap between "that is so gorgeous" and "I can see me wearing it" is an odd thing.

(I can see them on other people, sure. I remember that turqoise dress from before and it's perfectly Trudy. Not remotely Brenda.)

ETA: though that one skirt Barb linked is right up my alley. I don't have a good enough sense of Barb-style yet to know how close it is to hers. Though I loved the dress you ended up with at the last big event.

from that site would look fabulous on you.

msbelle, you have all my hugs tonight. I so get the room with only a mattress impulse. What you're doing is incredibly strong and loving and so, so difficult.

The parents on this board just all--well. Every single child born should have parents like you and Cash and Kat and Laura and the rest of you, each of you, all of you.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Y'all are linking to all of my favorite dresses on that site! I bought the paisley scarf dress, but haven't had the courage to wear it yet.

msbelle, I'm in awe of you, honestly. It just amazes me, how well you deal with all this. And yes, I think you DO deal with it all incredibly well.

“Not dead yet!”

Bev, I really liked the Sunset Dress [link] but I wasn't sure how it would look with flats. Maybe flat sandals?

Argh.

Formal gowns are so much easier. (And what does it say about me that I can be more comfortable in a formal gown than a simple dress?)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Oh, msbelle. I hope he takes the right amount of time before coming back out.

ZK, that paisley scarf dress will be cleavagalicious! Use it wisely!

Now here we're right in sync.

The last one that Bev linked is awesome. I could rock that, if it was precisely the right occassion. It feels a little OTT for what you're going for here though.
