If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Formal gowns are so much easier. (And what does it say about me that I can be more comfortable in a formal gown than a simple dress?)

Now here we're right in sync.

The last one that Bev linked is awesome. I could rock that, if it was precisely the right occassion. It feels a little OTT for what you're going for here though.

“Not dead yet!”

I also have a bad habit of being seduced by things that are pretty in theory, but perhaps not on me.

Like this: [link]

Beautiful colors and it's chiffon, which is perfect garden party material, but I'm afraid the print would overwhelm me.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

ZK, that paisley scarf dress will be cleavagalicious! Use it wisely!

Yeah, I have to get the right undergarment for that one. And possibly a new body. It's gorgeous.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

afraid the print would overwhelm me.

No such thing--with your dark hair and a lick of makeup you'd be fabulous.

Of course the purple one with the scarf could be formal very easily, but with another scarf or stole, something pastel perhaps, with light-colored flats and a wide-brimmed picture hat? Garden Party perfect.

I have that problem with shirtdresses. I love them...I love that style. But they do not look good on me at all.

Because books.

Barb, I think that dress would be PERFECT on you.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Barb, I think I like this one for the event so far the most.

It's gorgeous.

It is. I've sworn off buying dresses ahead of the occasion, and I'm certainly avoiding the occasions, or that would totally be on the list.
