Child Directs Airplane Traffic At JFK, FAA Investigates (AUDIO)

An audio clip has been released with the distinct voice of a young child directing air traffic over one of the nation's busiest airports.

Officials at the Federal Aviation Administration and a union representing air traffic controllers at John F. Kennedy International Airport may have mouthed the legendary words of Ted Striker.

Surely you can't be serious.

Both released statements to My Fox Boston condemning the behavior and indicating that the employees involved are no longer controlling air traffic pending the outcome of an investigation. FAA officials have confirmed the authenticity of the audio to the station. The child apparently made five transmissions.

While authorities were not amused by the incident, voices of adults on the radio channel sounded like they were in high spirits. One pilot told the child he was doing an "awesome job."

thanks y'all. I was thinking to myself on the way in, that despite being tired last night/this morning was pretty good by recent standards. I got almost all of the touch up paint done in my bedroom, cleaned 2 windows inside and out, cleaned off almost all of their two frames which were both extremely dirty and had been erroneously painted. And finally, mac did not fight - he did homework, he played well, he ate well, he did not ask for ds, he even took a bath without argument. So sure, there was a wet bed at 4:30 and I had all of 12 minutes to shower, dress, and put a face on - but all in all a good night/morning for us right now.

Sarameg, that's so cool about The Wire. Kinda wishing I'd picked The Good wife yesterday, but sometimes it's hard to avoid The Office marathon on Tuesday. I did watch the Nova on Pluto.
