So many excellent Kidnapped quotes!
"Call [memfault] in the DOJ and tell him I'm calling in a chit for that thing that time with that guy. He'll know what you mean."

I just added Kidnapped to my instant stream and then went to the Wii to watch. I had a Roku and gave it (and a Netflix cert) to boyfriend for Valentines Day, having read that Netflix could be played through my Wii.
Drat, it can't, not yet, until Netflix send me a cd that is required, and "it's coming soon!"
I guess I am ordering another Roku.
I'm happy that it was Canada/USA in the gold medal game. I'm only annoyed at Canada because of the entire 50km cross-country ski debacle which has nothing to do with hockey, but everything to do with the Olympic spirit and makes me think that this whole "Own the Podium" thing was taken just a wee bit too far.

You mean about McKeever? Yeah, that was shitty.

Yeah, it was. And really, Canada could have closed the games on such high notes, between Rochette, the hockey gold, and McKeever.
I just was reading a local posting board, and someone used the Paul Gross arms. Heeee!
I missed the McKeever thing. What did he do?
I missed the McKeever thing. What did he do?
He didn't do anything. He's a legally blind cross-country skier who legitimately made the Canadian Olympic team and was slated to compete in the 50km race today, making him the first individual to compete at both the Paralympics and the Olympics. However, in some of the lead-up races Canadian skiers performed well enough that the coach thought they might have a legit chance at a medal and took McKeever's slot away (one of four the Canadians had for the race) and gave it to another skier, the premise being that they were trying to field the best possible chances for gaining another medal.
Ultimately one Canadian skier finished fifth, the next closest Canadian in the race was 18th, then racers three and four wound up 32nd and 33rd.
Admittedly, I know nothing of the tactics of these types of races, but looking at those finishes, I can't imagine that it would have really hurt them to allow McKeever to race.
