Oh, NO, Fay! I am also slacky Santa, so I am totally cool with it! VERY COOL with it; it was delightful, and I am so happy when I look at it!
Is the elephant a ring holder? D and I were looking at it, and I was all "From the back, it looks kinda like a small penis and and some ill-defined balls" and he was all "I was pretty much thinking that too."
I love seeing all the happy dances. I just wish I could have been a fly on the wall when D brought in the package. Only, you know, not actually a fly, because ew.

Ah, truly a marriage made in heaven!
Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's for holding rings. Or at least - I thought it would be good for holding rings. I think perhaps I may have paid too little attention to its appearance from unexpected angles.
I may have been prejudiced, because I was thinking of the statuette you sent to the Chicago F2F, which was definitely a wee penis-man!
Last call for anyone ungifted, late senders, or santas who need alternates.
Send a note to my profile addy. I will be sorting and responding on Sunday.
You know what’s the best thing after a long week of jury duty and unsuccessfully fighting a cold? A nice bath with a Lush bath bomb. And I had many to choose from in my Secret Santa package that arrived this weekend (in all my favorite scents). What a nice surprise when I was feeling pretty crappy and in need of some pampering. Great timing, Sumi!!
In addition to the bath bombs, there were handmade potholders, which will come in handy since just this past Sunday a friend making garlic bread in my apt complained that I only had one oven mitt (sad, but true, especially since the oven mitt was also a recent Christmas present). Two are multicolored pinks (yay pink!) and another is green—perfect for a former prepster! Although I admit, I’m not quite sure what the central design is: from one angle it looks like a lighthouse, from another, a bouquet. I could use some enlightenment on that front.
But, thank you, Sumi, for such great ideas and the care you took to pick (and make!) the perfect things. They are much appreciated and will be well used.
Thank you - I'm glad you like them.
Okay - the central design is a dalek. (I couldn't remember if you were a Whovian or not - but yes -that's what it is.)
Be careful using them as potholders: they're cotton so may not be much use in that respect. (But should make excellent face or dish cloths.)
I thought of that, but I don't think I could bear to get them wet. If you saw what I normally do to take things out of the oven, you would not worry about me using these.
I swear people are conspiring to get me to watch
Dr. Who.
Hee.
Don't feel like you have to - here are some images of daleks so you can see what that image
should
look like.
I had alot of fun knitting them and I'm very happy you like the bath bombs I chose.
