Goodbye and Good Riddance 2009: So long and thanks for all the fish.

Every year we watch the Charlie Brown special, do the Snoopy dance, wish everybody a Merry Christmukkah, and thank our Secret Santas in the good riddance thread. Which is this one, in case you were wondering. Oh, and 2009? Don't think we've forgotten about you

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I can offer to be a clearing house for the slakers and ungifted. I know Nilly has the master list - don't know if she has the time available.

I'll throw my name into the ring for substitute giftees.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

I would also volunteer to be a substitute santa. I was the giftee of substitutes and was richly gifted by them.

I am a slacker gifter. Once i stopped slacking, one of the items is in backorder. Soon, giftee, soon.

Art Crawl!!!

I am a slacker gifter - however, I got in touch with my giftee ages ago to confess my supreme slackeriness - which has, indeed gotten out of control. HOwever, between the weather and my bad back - getting to the post office has been a bit of a project for me.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I'm a slacker gifter and an ungifted giftee, which makes me feel balanced out, at least. I'll throw my name into both rings.

Hey folks - if you haven't gotten a gift. Or if you are a santa who hasn't be able to get to the post office (or just did within the last week), drop me a note. I have made note of the alternate santas who posted above.

Before I send out anything, I will double check with Nilly to see if she has extra information. I'd ask for your notes by Friday and I will try to get responses out over the weekend.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

OMG!! D. just came in carrying a box, and he was all "Uh, did you order something from THAILAND?" And I was all "Uh. No. Shit, here let me se...OMG OMG FLAIL, I got a present from FAY!"

SO. EXCITED.

And I opened up the box, and it smelled WONDERFUL. There was a beautiful dark teal hobo bag, embroidered and with tassels and beads and a medallion, which would have been present enough, but seriously, y'all? It was like one of those magic bags in fairy stories that is never empty!

I got:

Three scarves: an iridescent turquoise, amethyst and teal. SO PRETTY. And light, so I can wear them all summer.

A red coral bracelet with a wee crocheted flower.

A flowered makeup bag with sequins that held delicious incenses and soaps (Dan: Did you get lemongrass? Me: YES, YES I DID!).

A purple fan with filigreed cutouts, which I will be using at my wedding!!

A set of six pretty wooden chopsticks in embroidered holders with wee elephants on them.

A wooden sculpture of a little elephant with his trunk up in the air, and a wistful little expression on his face. So cute; it is on my desk.

A purse mirror with flowers on one side, and an golden elephant on the other.

And a fat blue cyclops/teddy bear keyring that is quite adorkable.

I love it so much! I'm so excited! THANK YOU, FAY!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Now that's a Secret Santa gift.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Hurrah! I'm sorry it was so slackerish, with the sending, but yay for getting there! And I'm delighted you liked it!
