Tara: What's so bad about them coming here? Aren't they good guys? I mean, Watchers, that's just like whole other Gileses, right? Buffy: Yes! They're scary and horrible!

'Potential'

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Shir is dedicated to Truth, Justice, and the American Way comics and sci fi. She's super.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Feeling a bit better now. Thanks, everyone. Combination of you guys, chocolate chips, and "The Nanny" worked wonders.

Don't understand it. Normally a couple gulps of Coke keep me up for hours. But with ubber headache, it made me pass out, and now headache gone. Hopefully for good. It was only about 15 minute nap. During "Chuck".

There's. Not. Enough. Coffee. In. The. World. To. Get. Me. Motivated.

Thanks, all that gave me feedback. It helped, and I WILL send the damn form tonight, just you wait...

And hairpets and {{}} and Health!Dammit to omnis, Stpeh (just got the Dalmatian story - I'm sorry, dear) and Hil.

Sail, I hope you had a great first day at work. Jess, that school sounds awesome.

Dante's Internet is so very funny. Here's the DickensURL I got when linked to it: [link] (DickensURLs are always right-on).

I'm kind of awake (damn you, channel 4, for airing China Beach that late at night w/o a normal rerun. You know I cannot resist this), but the only thing that makes me think of leaving the house and not going back to bed is getting a walnut-chocolate energy snack from the Holy Vending Machines of my campus. There's nothing in the world, besides getting channel 4 to air China Beach at a time that won't make my curse myself when waking up the following day, that I want more than that walnut-chocolate energy snack right now.

Well, I've bitched enough, for now. Time to make something out of this day. Cuppa tea, and I'm out of here.

I still love you all, btw.

Calli, you are in luck. The only definite answer I got from the interwes is that Vorlesungen ¨uber den Islam was published in 1910, and was translated into English, without the approval of Goldziher in 1917. When that was discovered, the book was quickly withdrawn by the publisher. But, since it was translated in 1917, it means that the copyrights were expired, and you know what that means: it's available for free downloading on the interwebs.

I didn't get a clear answer whether and how much Introduction to Islamic Theology and Law and Muslim Studies are based of/translations of Vorlesungen ¨uber den Islam in their English editions. Some sources and reviews claim "a lot", others "not at all".

I hope that helps.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

My thought for the day: I hate supermarkets. They never have any good gluten-free bread. I'm going back to grocery shopping online.

Health~ma to all who need it.

Teppy, I'm very glad to hear that things are looking better for the doggy.

There's. Not. Enough. Coffee. In. The. World. To. Get. Me. Motivated.

This. (Currently on third cup of Yorkshire Gold tea. It's not getting me going on the writing yet. And you should see my 'to do' list. I've got deadlines up until April and probably well beyond AND I'M NOT EVEN EMPLOYED. Hmph.)

DickensURLs are always right-on

Is true! Hee.

The electricty went back on at 5. I so do not want to be awake yet.

My office delayed opening until 11, due to icy roads. Which is nice of them, but I got up before 6, as usual, because I didn't know this would happen. I do like a leisurely morning, though.
