Buffy: How bored were you last year? Giles: I watched 'Passions' with Spike. Let us never speak of it.

'Beneath You'

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Yay - I can do one thing right!

(Having feelings of colossal failure today. We watched Lilo & Stitch with Dylan because it's too cold to go outside. I used to think it was about misfits finding family, but it turns out it's about how much I suck as a mom. Also I have no idea what I'm doing on my coop board and want to resign because I SUCK. Fuck this, I need a cupcake. Fortunately I made cupcakes this afternoon.)

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Thanks, peeps. We think we'll keep our funny little guy.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

I must confess, I am anti-Yanni. And proud of it--you wanna make somethin' out of it? I will take on your bigot, not sanely and in a civilized fashion, but in a way he can relate to and understand--with a La Cruset skillet.

Beeeyootiful Shane and Mama!

Jess, I'm sorry it was an afternoon. Bad movie, very bad, making Jess doubt her wonderfulness.

P-C, I'm glad it worked for you. It feels so dumb when you're doing it, and then after--hey, that worked. So I'm glad it did.

Better breathing vibes, beth.

Trust my rage

Jess, can I sit in the I SUCK corner with you? It has just been one thing after another today.

Ack, sorry I killed the thread.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Oh, so that's how it was called. For me, it's the part of me that's seeing red and can't shut up, even when it's not that recommended to talk.

Calli, it's really weird about Lectures on Islam, but I knew something was up when it took me 10 whole minutes to try and Google the title in English last night (I have the book in Hebrew, but the original is in German). It's weird because this book was published at least 80-90 years ago. I can see, from Googling the title ("Vorlesungen über den Islam"), that it got translated into several other languages, and I have no idea why this wasn't translated into English just yet. Anyhow, since there are really not a lot of Islamic scholars named Ignác (Yitzhaq Yehuda) Goldziher, I guess it's our guy. I'll be in the university tomorrow, and I'll try to see if at least there are parts of it that were translated into English.
