Saffron: I'll die. Mal: Well, as a courtesy, you might start getting busy on that, 'cause all this chatter ain't doin' me any kindness.

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Actually fucked up.

I don't want to judge other people's grieving process...but, well, I guess I am. It sounds like the things that the MomShaman did were very likely to interfere with other people's grieving processes.

Obviously everyone grieves differently, but with a funeral, being that it's generally a group event, some sort of middle ground needs to be reached that will hopefully speak to most people's needs in some way.

IMO.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

The descriptions of those horror-show memorials leave me utterly aghast.

Pictures of Ryan are definitely helping to improve my mood after reading so many posts on the BMI/obesity issue. Ryan is a glorious baby.

I dropped my house and car keys down between the steps up to the back door and the house itself. I can't reach them. Daniel is going to have to move the whole stair thingy. I don't get, now or ever, who designs a set external of stairs with a gap between the house and the top steps.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

ChiKat, I get my eyelashes dyed every month or so. It doesn't do much to make them fuller, but it's the only way I've found to make them darker that doesn't end up coating the skin under my eyes. It's pretty painless, quick, and relatively inexpensive. And I should really make an appointment to have them redone.

My ground school class wireless is finally working. I may never learn another thing, damn it.

I'm going to sit in the same judgy corner as Teppy.

And from mascara corner:

Erin, is there a specific Almay mascara that you like?

Tube mascaras: I've tried and they freak me out. I don't know why exactly, but I don't like 'em.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

If the tubes freak you out, what are your feelings on having to use a specific remover versus just washing your face? Because Blinc is really the only one I've tried that never smudges and comes off without a remover.

Yeah, so am I, because that was VERY DISTURBINGLY WRONG.

Mascara: I really like Glam Eyes by Rimmel, and Doll Eyes by N.Y.C., and they've never smudged on me. However, they are designed to give you EYELASHES, so if you're going for a slightly more understated look, they are not the mascaras for you.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

My lashes are straight as a stick. They are fairly thick, though. But, eyelash curlers scare me. My drag queen friend keeps threatening the "kidnap" me for a day of beauty where he teaches me all of the complicated shit.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

All caught up. Back in TX. thanks for the inteview~ma. It went well. They said 1st round of interviews will be about 4 weeks. Then notify short list folks, who come back to meet co workers and tour facilities. Then 2 weeks until they make decision.

((( DJ ))). Sounds like the Grapevine Memorial was the true one. Block that other one from your memory.

Erin_O, those TSA folks clearly have vision problems. We have pics of you at a party where you looked smoking hot! Sean will back me up on this.

Shir, you are fabulous.

There was more. But tapping on iPhone in moving van is not easy. Love ya all. And cupcakes for thems that need it, since they should be given as freely as brackets.

I don't mind using a remover.

I like having EYELASHES, but can never achieve the look for more than a couple of hours. The mascara smudges and/or disappears into the ether, so by mid-day, I don't have much, if any, left on my lashes.

Long lashes+big cheeks+oily skin=natural eye makeup remover every time I blink.

Vortex, mine are straight too and I swear by an eyelash curler. Really helps. Actually, my right eye has straight lashes, but my left one has lashes that go down. Annoying. Curling helps.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

she said her feelings were "too powerful for words" and instead did an interpretive dance with a six-foot rainbow parrot puppet to express her loss.

Wow. I would find this and the animated face tribute to be OTT in fiction or a movie.

And yet...humans not bound by the mere restraints of plausibility.
