Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Buffista weddings galore! Hey Kate! Hey lisah!

Not too shabby 2010. Now give everybody (including me) more work. For those that have work: better bosses. For those with good bosses: status quo and bonuses!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Kate, did you know there's a blog for red wedding dresses?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

In other exciting news: Today was the first dropoff at Matilda's new preschool that had no tears or drama. No tears! I repeat, No tears!

Coding and Sleeping

Excellent!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Excellent!

I win this morning's Achievement in Excellence in Tearlessness.

It may be difficult to replicate, though. I went late enough that Matilda's favorite teacher, Haidie was there to hold her.

But when I ran down the hill to wave up at the window Matilda was there waiting to see me, and she didn't make cryface when I blew her kisses. And Shivam and Gabriella were both pointing at me and saying, "You're a crunchy monkey!"

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Yay, Matilda!

Also, Yay, Kate!

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

It's still Bitches, right?

Kate P., do you know about offbeat bride? [link]

I don't plan to be a bride right now or never, but damn, that site is addicting.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

lisah, I do know about Offbeat Bride -- I've been reading her book! Haven't spent much time on the website yet, but it looks really useful.

Kate, did you know there's a blog for red wedding dresses?

Ooooooooh, thanks!

And Shivam and Gabriella were both pointing at me and saying, "You're a crunchy monkey!"

Very perceptive!

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Kate! Yay -- we can geek out together. Yes, that website is pretty addictive.

Jilli, thanks for the info. I think I may go through Meschante, and find the fabric myself. Perhaps velvet can be used as an accent rather than the main corset fabric; also, Sept. in KC is still pretty damned hot.

ION, wow, my house is a mess. I need to do some cleaning today. And it's double digits and sunny outside - crazy.
