Yay, Matilda!
Also, Yay, Kate!
Oz ,'First Date'
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Yay, Matilda!
Also, Yay, Kate!
Kate P., do you know about offbeat bride? [link]
I don't plan to be a bride right now or never, but damn, that site is addicting.
lisah, I do know about Offbeat Bride -- I've been reading her book! Haven't spent much time on the website yet, but it looks really useful.
Kate, did you know there's a blog for red wedding dresses?
Ooooooooh, thanks!
And Shivam and Gabriella were both pointing at me and saying, "You're a crunchy monkey!"
Very perceptive!
Kate! Yay -- we can geek out together. Yes, that website is pretty addictive.
Jilli, thanks for the info. I think I may go through Meschante, and find the fabric myself. Perhaps velvet can be used as an accent rather than the main corset fabric; also, Sept. in KC is still pretty damned hot.
ION, wow, my house is a mess. I need to do some cleaning today. And it's double digits and sunny outside - crazy.
We finished tiling the kitchen (stove wall and backsplash) last night and it looks fab. Tonight we grout and then we're done with this project. $300 for a finally finished kitchen!
ION, the guy we spoke to about helping get rid of the WORLD'S UGLIEST WALL around our front yard (I am not exaggerating--those of you who have seen our house will agree) called last night that he was available. He showed up at 8:30 this morning with a bobcat and two guys, and the wall is now gone! They are going to take all the weedy half-dead grass out of the yard too. We want mostly gravel and drought-resistant plants out there. We shall no longer be the eyesore of the neighborhood! It's costing $2,800 to go to a bare yard with everything hauled away and decomposed granite put down. We are going to plant succulents and put down some flagstone paths, but will do that as we have money.
I have hated this wall since we bought the house and am so glad to have it gone.
So WindSparrow actually did find a veritable e-mail forward about letting your children go and treating them like adults.
Sending it to my mom: great idea...or GREATEST idea?
Or terrible idea?
Erin, I know this is green and gold rather than green and silver, but I saw this fabric and thought it looked gorgeous, and would look gorgeous on you. And here's a nearly identical pattern in silver, on a corset.
eta: From the silver corset photostream, now THERE'S a wedding portrait!
Or terrible idea?
This. As tempting as it is (and I would SO want to do it), let her e-mail you first.
Terrible idea. That's just fanning the flames. It's also lowering yourself and playing on your moms level.
What everyone said. ANY response is positive reinforcement. You are fighting for your freedom for your right to be an adult. Stay strong. Don't respond.
