Xander: I still don't get why we came here to get info about a killer snot monster. Giles: Because it's a killer snot monster from outer space. I did not say that.

'Never Leave Me'

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Renting is really awesome for us, too. Right now, with funds being what they are, it is the best situation for us. I do wish, though, that we could afford to rent the house down the street and have the benefits of renting from someone Not Family.

I'm getting the pig!

I own and sooooo wish that I didn't. It's too far from DH's work for us to live there so I rent it out... For $400 less what I end up paying for it every month. And that's only if nothing breaks that I have to pay for.

Not all it's cracked up to be.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Aims, I hope I didn't come across as insensitive, complaining about my mortgage issues. I mean my complaint more as one of solidarity.

Oh gosh - not at all!! Housing issues are housing issues, no matter what form they come in. Owning is just as lousy with Issues and renting is.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I like 'owning' a house.

I hate it more than I can say.

Renting from not family would probably be a good thing for you, but it wouldn't mean that the same situation might not happen. I don't see any fail here.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Hey, Aims, I'm watching an iCarly marathon right now. The kids aren't even in the room.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

We own, and there are times when we really, REALLY wish we didn't.

You are a grown-up, and not a fail-y one. Stop fretting.

The very adult property tax bill is still sitting on my desk. Adulthood is highly over rated.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Well if there's gonna be RANDOM DANCING, I need to put on some more appropriate music. ::puts on Jai Ho:: RANDOM BOLLYWOOD!

I'm renting from a friend, which has pluses and minuses. Pluses - no pet deposit, no raise in rent last year, fairly casual attitude towards the timeliness of my rent payment. Minuses - slow to respond to issues, and sometimes fixes them in her priority order instead of mine. I recognize that kind of thing can happen with any landlord, but the friendship does make it harder to be insistent, especially if you're conflict-avoidant me. And she just got on Town Council, so the former issue is certainly not going to get better.

I did my next task but have been avoiding the one after that. ::sigh:: The idea is to go straight down the list to avoid skipping unpleasant tasks but I kind of can't do that one anyway. I *can* do the next one, so I'm off to break it down.
