I'm renting from a friend, which has pluses and minuses. Pluses - no pet deposit, no raise in rent last year, fairly casual attitude towards the timeliness of my rent payment. Minuses - slow to respond to issues, and sometimes fixes them in her priority order instead of mine. I recognize that kind of thing can happen with any landlord, but the friendship does make it harder to be insistent, especially if you're conflict-avoidant me. And she just got on Town Council, so the former issue is certainly not going to get better.
I did my next task but have been avoiding the one after that. ::sigh:: The idea is to go straight down the list to avoid skipping unpleasant tasks but I kind of can't do that one anyway. I *can* do the next one, so I'm off to break it down.

Man, I wish the PO were open until at least 5:30 pm. Since I don't usually drive to work, it's a pain for me to get there while they're open. I'll just have to go NYE if I don't get there before.
