Cause I'm not wealthy and successful and do not own all my own shit, including my own house.
If that's the case, then I'm totally fail because I don't have an awesome husband and kid like you do :)
I know that it's hard, but, honey, you've got to look at all of the good things that you've got going on. It's not fail, just not where you want to be, which is totally legit.

I am frustrated that we are not where I would ideally like us to be, home-ownership-wise, but we are in school, we are working toward better things, and all that matters is that we keep our family as awesome as it is.
And I doubly fail because I have neither house nor hubs and kid! Geesh.
It's just AimeeWorld Total Adult Fail. AimeeWorld doesn't translate into Regular World where Sane People Who Posses Logic Skills Live. *g*
but we are in school, we are working toward better things, and all that matters is that we keep our family as awesome as it is.
This is so very important. What you're doing right now can lead to so much more. It's an investment and investments take time to pay out. I, for one, think you and Joe are doing a marvelous job and know you will get the things you want.
Cause I'm not wealthy and successful and do not own all my own shit, including my own house.
I like 'owning' a house. But it has a number of problems that come with it. the big one being money. If DH can't find a better job that isn't killing him , we may have to give up this idea of home ownership
Aims, I am fresh out of wisdom but I have virtual hugs, so {{{Aims}}}.
I for one am quite content to not own a house. I may have carpentry skills, but I am lazy as shit, so renting is good for me.
Finished work on MDT for today, which means it's chocolate time! Mmm, Lindt dark choc truffle with hazelnut.
(edit: plus two. ::burps::)
Not looking forward to my next task, but then that's why it hasn't gotten done yet.
Aims, I hope I didn't come across as insensitive, complaining about my mortgage issues. I mean my complaint more as one of solidarity.
Renting is really awesome for us, too. Right now, with funds being what they are, it is the best situation for us. I do wish, though, that we could afford to rent the house down the street and have the benefits of renting from someone Not Family.
I own and sooooo wish that I didn't. It's too far from DH's work for us to live there so I rent it out... For $400 less what I end up paying for it every month. And that's only if nothing breaks that I have to pay for.
Not all it's cracked up to be.
