Riley: Oh, yeah. Sorry 'bout last time. Heard I missed out on some fun. Xander: Oh yeah, fun was had. Also frolic, merriment and near-death hijinks.

'Never Leave Me'

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

We went out for Chinese food tonight. I got a Suffering Bastard, and I am more than a tiny bit tipsy.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I've always thought that, when you order a Suffering Bastard, the server should bring the cook out to the table.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

oy. i am about halfway through my training in police dispatch and it is HARD. i am getting through it, for i am of endurance. Now my coach is getting all sensitive about my "push back" which is, unfortunately, part of my learning process and according to every supervisor a very positive step which i'm just hitting a little early in the process. Too bad i'm her first dispatch trainee so she hasn't been through this before to learn coping techniques. This job is really hard enough without having to worry about my coach's pwecious feelings.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

I'd never heard of a Suffering Bastard before, but I just googled it and it looks delicious.

So very much ~ma to your sister, Cash. I had an early MC right before Matilda, and I remember the day of spotting and uncertainty before I could go to the doctor and find out for certain one way or the other as utterly miserable.

It is so yummy and fruity that you can drink it right down as if there is no alcohol in it at all, when of course there is a ton.

Our wings are not tired.

After 3 miscarriages it was emotional torture getting through the first trimester. Much ~ma for your sister, Cash.

Off to look up a Suffering Bastard...

I didn't realize how many buffistas had suffered miscarriages. I'm so sorry for all of you.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Erin, thank you for the sheet suggestions. He is a hot sleeper, so I don't think they're for him. But I might like a set! I love my flannel sheets.

KBD and I just had some friends over, and now we're watching Fight Club. I did my holiday cards earlier (there's still time if you want one!) and I have my parents' Hanukah gifts to wrap before tomorrow night. Just one gift left to buy and I know what I'm getting.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Echoing what everyone else in the been there, done that crowd has said that all you can do is be there and listen. There's no advice you can really give, you know? Nothing you can do, and no way to change things.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

Thanks all for the ~ma, especially WindSparrow, Laura, sj, and Shir. I really appreciate it. An update: the wedding went off, mostly without a hitch, and was just beautiful. I mostly was able to compartmentalize, and mostly to have a good time. Now, I've been in my hotel doing a combination of centering, working on my cousin's virtual memorial, and weeping; this, too, is good.

I cannot say how important it was for me to have someone I could tell about this, and how valuable your support is. Thank you all.
