Hil, Slashfood has a post up for your nosy co-worker - Hannukah Beer Pairings.

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Thanks, everyone.
And Stephanie, thanks for your insight. I realize how ineffective words can be and I just have to be there for her no matter what happens.
Jessica, I can't think of one that sells both off of the top of my head. Maybe the Sally Beauty Supply website?
Maybe the Sally Beauty Supply website?
That was my first guess too, but they only sell Manic Panic and Color Jamz.
I've gotten Special Effects off Amazon before.
Omnis, yes, it's probably not on to wear an opposing team's jersey (even if they are not the team your team is playing against that day).
I think for general potlucks, it somewhat depends on what I brought, how much is left, what the container is, etc etc, as to whether I end up taking it home with me. I wouldn't general expect the host to offer me leftovers. Thanksgiving would be the exception, though--since I feel like Thanksgiving is a holiday all about excess food, and leftovers. I would generally want there to be leftovers, and want to bring home a plate of them. :)
She reminds me that I don't have this problem--I'm not 39 and haven't miscarried.
I am both 39 and have miscarried. Spotting is not necessarily an indication of miscarriage. In fact, most people I know who had successful pregnancies had spotting early on. I had full on bleeding with my m/c and no bleeding at all with this pregnancy, but everyone is different. It is so hard to stay positive after a miscarriage, but tell her than many (most) women have gone on to have successful pregnancies after a m/c. Sending all positive vibes as I remember those feelings so well. {{{}}}
We went out for Chinese food tonight. I got a Suffering Bastard, and I am more than a tiny bit tipsy.
I've always thought that, when you order a Suffering Bastard, the server should bring the cook out to the table.
oy. i am about halfway through my training in police dispatch and it is HARD. i am getting through it, for i am of endurance. Now my coach is getting all sensitive about my "push back" which is, unfortunately, part of my learning process and according to every supervisor a very positive step which i'm just hitting a little early in the process. Too bad i'm her first dispatch trainee so she hasn't been through this before to learn coping techniques. This job is really hard enough without having to worry about my coach's pwecious feelings.
