That's one spunky little girl you've raised. I'm gonna eat her.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Always Anti-fascist!

Dude, I so feel you on that. (Which might or might not be connected to the previous gropefest...I'll neither confirm nor deny.) Also, Emma Watson got a new short haircut and now she's hot. I must have missed some HPs because I was not prepared.

You didn't even get a CARD, Teppy?

Oh, god no. I think they're too Christian to think that his mother's death "counts" as a grief-y thing for me, since after all we aren't married. One woman even said it must be hard for me to be "on the outside" during all this. So why would I be upset about Tim's mom dying? I don't have the decency to get married, so I must not have the decency to care about his mom.

[Note: I am making inferences in the last 2 sentences. However, one co-worker did actually make the "on the outside" comment, with a straight face.]

My mom said, "I don't care that you aren't married; she was your mother-in-law." Mom's actually the first one to say that, and it made me feel better, acknowledging the enormity of this loss.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

must be hard for me to be "on the outside" during all this.

"Oh no, I was in the living room. Why would I be outside?"

Our wings are not tired.

I'm so sorry that you have to deal with stupidity on top of grief.

What is even happening?

My mom said, "I don't care that you aren't married; she was your mother-in-law." Mom's actually the first one to say that, and it made me feel better, acknowledging the enormity of this loss.

Your mom is right. And you can call her your "MIL" for mother-in-love.

oh, I'm so sorry that I didn't actually say that. Honestly, that's the way I've been thinking of what you're going through. I know that I'm not the only one who knows how huge that this has been for you.

I didn't say anything, just made Downcast Face. Because *I* know that Tim's mom treated me like family, even though she really would have preferred we were married. She kept her moral belief separate from how she treated me, always, and she treated me very well.
