Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

“Not dead yet!”

I'm feeling like Typhoid Mary-- I roll into town and Sean feels pukey and ND has to head to the ER.

Glad it's nothing major, Pix-- many gentle hugs headed across town to you guys.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I hope ND's pain is better today.

What are people up to this weekend?

We're babysitting for G tonight, which if things go as planned should be very easy. Show up, order pizza, put him to bed, and watch TV. Of course, when does everything go as planned with a toddler? Other than that, we don't have plans.

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

I'm house/pet sitting for friends who also have a washer and dryer, so I will be laundering every piece of clothing I have ever owned.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I'm glad ND's doing better.

Everyone else, I hope you start doing better soon.

I seem to be allergic to something at work. (Possibly work.) Yesterday afternoon I started sneezing and itching, and a few welts appeared on my arms. I ended up going home, instead of to the gym, and dosing myself with benedryl. (On the upside, I got 10 hours of sleep last night.) Today I'm slightly itchy, but not nearly to the extent of yesterday. I wonder what it is.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Heh. I think it's technically incorrect but often done in informal usage. I have my 'former English teacher' pride, though!

It's mainly an unfortunate attempt to shoehorn a Latinate structure where it didn't belong.

I feel like such a failure of a human being. DH took time off work to come up to my office and escort me home on the bus/tube as I was a bit afraid I'd fall under a train.

But! Am at home now.

My parents are visiting at the minute so I'm the worst tourguide in the world. Would you like to see the inside of my house? Yes? Then you're in luck, parents! Anywhere else, not so much.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

You're welcome to read whatever I produce, although that will mainly be in (possibly illegible) note form, as it's a verbal presentation and group discussion. I will put 'email notes to smonster' on my to-do list for after the weekend.

Yay!

My parents came to France to see me, and we ended up having to leave Carcassonne (medieval walled city) rather abruptly due to me feeling ill, and had to deal with me being sick on the train back to Montpellier, and then take care of me. Fortunately it was just not yet understanding what triggers my IBS-type stuff, so I was better the next day.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Weekend?

Today- HH and dinner for friend whose last day at WORST JOB EVER!!! is today.

Saturday-Nothing, I think. Jon has to work for someone else, so I may just enjoy having the house all to myself.

Sunday-Parking Lot Pool Party and Cut-offs contest at Double Wide with Boys Named Sue! Hubs will be guest bartending there as well.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I might finally get my lazy butt to the Farmer's Market tomorrow.
