You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Congrats, Hil. I'm glad you've found an apartment you like.

We've had the most miserable day for a very long time. Wallybee and I both woke up (early) with symptoms much like food poisoning; which, for me, developed into diarrhoea, and for her, into vomiting (and then, this evening, diarrhoea as well). I still had to go into work to try and sort something out. It takes over an hour to get to work. They sent me home within half an hour. (It takes an hour to get home from work.)

Ryan was booked in for childcare today, as it's a working day for both of us. He reportedly had a good day there. We spent the day in bed, trying to sleep, and occasionally being very thankful for the en suite. We picked him up around 5:30 - this is the first time we've both been sick at the same time with him. I don't know if he picked up that Mummy and Daddy weren't well, but he was a very cooperative and friendly little boy tonight. We're very fortunate.

Anyway, once he was in bed, I made the run to the chemist (couldn't think of that one during the day, of course). We are now both dosed up, and assured that the anti-nausea meds can also cause drowsiness. That would be nice.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

So far G is being a very good boy. I am almost starting to enjoy Yo Gabba Gabba; should I be scared?

I'm sorry you and Wallybee are feeling so icky, bt. I hope you feel better soon, and that the little guy does not pick up the germs.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Hil, that apartment sounds gorgeous.

Oh, bt, that sounds miserable indeed. I hope you're now well and soundly asleep.

And, sj, no, don't be scared. Yo Gabba Gabba contains Mark Mothersbaugh, so it's clearly of the good. (And yay for G being good -- he put you through the wringer last week, so he owes you.)

Ann, that's a ferret.

Happy Birthday, erin_o!

Congrats, Hil!

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

Ugh, billytea - I hope you're both feeling better soon. That sounds nasty.

Talking of nasty, I bent down to put socks away and dislocated/subluxed a joint in my lower back that hates me. I never learn to wait for PCA's shift before attempting to tidy up.

Yikes, Seska! Be careful.

G has been asleep for nearly an hour, and I took a short nap too.

Seska, I hope your back forgives you soon.

IOmeN, WHEW! I just spent an hour and a half thinking I'd accidentally used a check out of checkbook from work to pay one of my bills last week, only to discover (after calling the trash hauling company whose bill I paid, and my supervisor) that the reason I could not find the carbon copy of that check in my checkbook was that pages had stuck together a bit.

Yipes, Sox! Glad Sears was having a sale.

Hope you and Wallybee feel better after a good sleep, bt.

Hil, that sounds absolutely perfect! Stained glass windows! You must take pictures.

WS, that's the one thing I hate about carbons. They're handy when you don't enter things in the register right away, but can be a PITA if you either accidentally tear it out along with the check or it does what it did to you. I used to be so good about entering things in my register as soon as I wrote them, but I've become such a slacker. Having online access to my account information isn't always the boon one thinks.

not your mom's socks.

Yipes, Sox! Glad Sears was having a sale.

Thanks Sail. Not money we wanted to spend, sale or no, but since we don't know how old the stove is exactly (I have a guess) or how many times the various bits have been replaced (also suspicions here), and spent enough time last night getting rid of a really nasty gas-induced headache to truly hate gas all over again (though cooking with it is nice), we figured that since we could get one of the stoves that's being sold to make room for the new fall line (yay product turnover) and it's been reviewed fairly well, we should do it. Sounds like it can be here tomorrow, which is also good. Still. meh.

BT I hope you and Wallybee are feeling better today.

Hil, I am drooling over what that apartment must look like - here's to a fantastic new year for you!
